H2O PRO African Cichlid Substrate is suitable for all fish that require a high pH. With it's unique buffering ability, this substrate will hold the pH levels around 8.0 making it perfect for African Cichlid species.
DIRECTIONS - Please rinse thoroughly in a clean bucket before use.
HELPFUL TIP - As African Cichlids tend to dig we recommend adding a 4cm thickness of substrate. This will be approximately 10kg per 30cm (foot). For example - 90cm Aquarium/ 3 foot = 30kg. This will also help cushion display rocks and ornaments.
